About Us
Training has long been a key component of the U.S. government’s development program in Indonesia. USAID Indonesia is continuing this tradition through the Human and Institutional Capacity Development (HICD) Program that will provide academic degrees. The goal of HICD is to train a new generation of Indonesian public and private sector leaders in priority sectors and skills, including economics, health, environment, education and leadership. Through academic degrees HICD will help individuals acquire the knowledge, skills, and capacity to support Indonesia’s development goals and the achievement of USAID program objectives.
USAID has awarded a contract to the Academy for Educational Development (AED) to support the implementation of HICD in Indonesia. AED will provide technical expertise and services for the final design and implementation of the Program that will support studies for academic degrees in the U.S., Indonesia, and third countries and the creation of an alumni association. The emphasis of the academic program is on Master’s Degrees with a limited number of Bachelor’s and PhD degrees being offered.
