Triwayudi, master’s degree specializing in water resources at Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs
Posted January 10th, 2010 by adminTriwayudi was born in South Lampung, attended the Bandung Institute of Technology, and is an employee of the South Lampung National Agency for Development Planning (Bappeda) on development policy and strategy for water and environmental sanitation. He sees that water and environmental sanitation infrastructure are basic needs for people in poor and underdeveloped areas.
He worked together with UNICEF, but found he was limited in theoretical and practical experience. While his work emphasized physical construction, the most important need is behavior transformation.
His director says that Bappeda has an acute need for highly qualified and skilled staff in this field. He reports that Triwahyudi has high motivation, and communicates well vertically and horizontally. He did volunteer work in Aceh and Nias for six months after the tsunami.
Triwayudi is studying for a master’s degree specializing in water resources at Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs. His goal on return is to raise community welfare and develop the region sustainably.
