Masters Degree in Climate Change

Program Description:
- Academic/degree program at master’s level in the U.S. from a U.S. University focusing on climate change adaptation or mitigation
- The objective of this program is to support future leaders in climate change to complete an academic/degree master’s level program degree from a U.S. institution. Selected candidates will study the principles of climate change (CC) from an international perspective becoming conversant with:
1. Greenhouse Gas Mitigation 2. Clean Energy 3. Deforestation and Land Use Change 4. Climate Change Adaptation 5. Community Resilience
Target Participants:
Eligible candidate may come from the civil society groups or GOI offices that are working in any of the areas mentioned above. Every attempt will be made to balance candidate selection by gender, geographic affiliation, and public and private sector employment background/affiliation.Technical Qualifications:.Candidates with prior training and work experience in climate change or related fields with potential leadership in their field will be given preference. Specific preferred areas of prior work experience include, but are not limited to:
- Reducing deforestation
- Clean Energy
- Peat Forest conservation
- Climate change adaptation
- Community resilience to climate change
