Program Description:
- Master’s program in the U.S. from a program specializing in the following indicative areas:
1. Conservation of Coastal and Marine Resources 2. Marine and Coastal Zone Management 3. Fisheries Resources Management 4. Sustainable Fisheries Resources
- The objective of this program is to support future leaders in coastal and marine conservation and sustainable fisheries management to attain master’s degrees from U.S. institutions specializing in the areas above.
Target Participants:
- Eligible candidates may come from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries or related Government institutions, civil society groups (Marine Biodiversity Conservation and Fisheries Resources Management Associations, NGOs and Foundations), professionals working in the development sector with international or local organizations who have strong potential for leadership.
- Every attempt will be made to balance candidate selection by gender, public and private sector employment background/affiliation. In terms of geographic affiliation, preference will be given to candidates who come from the Coral triangle Initiatives areas (central to eastern Indonesia).
Technical Qualifications:
Candidate with prior training and work experience in coastal and marine conservation and fisheries resources management or related fields with potential leadership in her/his field will be given preference.
