US Long Term Training/ Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Public Management, and Public Policy for Legislative Strengthening

Time Line:  Fall 2010

Program Description:

  • Master’s degrees in the US on topics such as Public Administration, Public Management, and Public Policy
  • The objective of the training is to enhance the capacity of the participant in public administration education, communication, analysis, and decision-making. After the training it is expected that the graduate will have an understanding of theories of management and the public context in which public administrators work.  She/he will be able to apply those theories to improve the performance of the Parliament Secretariat and collaborate with others to best serve the public interest.

Target Participants:

  • Candidates must be university graduates currently working at the Parliament Secretariat.
  • Candidates must have five years experience at the Parliament Secretariat and be committed to stay with the institution upon return.
  • Candidates must be nominated by the Head of the Secretariat General of the Parliament.
